Coastal villages getting popular with Cyprus investors

Property writer Kevin Moore said that many investors in the Cypriot property market avoid the highly developed tourist spots and consider purchasing in nearby villages as they offer “great value” properties and the potential for growth.

Coastal villages offer several benefits to foreign investors such as its natural qualities, including its mountain ranges, beaches and warm climate and financial attributes like cheaper property prices and it could be up to 50% less expensive than similar properties in the tourist areas. These features have proved to be so appealing that many foreign nationals are now choosing to live in Cypriot villages nearby coastal resorts.

Mr. Moore further added that there are still lots of unspoilt villages d along the coast within a short car journey of the tourist spots. House prices are going up by between 15 and 20 per cent every year, which means that property buyers could find themselves in line to benefit from substantial capital growth if they enter the market early, as the future sale price will be much higher than its present value.

The Galway Advertiser recently said that the property market in Cyprus remains very strong and vibrant, offering excellent value with quality developments.
