Cyprus enjoying high level of interest from UK buyers
Cyprus property is showing yearly growth of more than 18 per cent and with a legal system based on Britain’s, it’s no wonder the island is popular with UK investors, according to property experts.
Derek Hatton, director of Morpheus Investments has said that he has noticed an increase in the number of people buying second homes in Cyprus as the housing market in the UK is slowing down and they are interested to invest in bricks and mortar rather than shares and savings in banks.
Mark Bishop of A Place in the Sun magazine said that as long as people carried out the right checks, investing in property abroad was a safe option. Cyprus Property Magazine revealed that off plan properties in Cyprus are becoming increasingly popular with investors from the UK.
Cyprus commerce, industry and tourism minister Antonis Paschalides has said the Cyprus is ready to welcome more Britons to its shores and he has met with various tourist organizations to discuss the impact of British visitors in the country, The Financial Mirror reports.
