Increased passenger numbers in Cyprus airports
Figures from airport operator Hermes showed that more than six million passengers passed through the portals at Paphos and Larnaca till November, 2007. TravelConnect said Cyprus attracted 6.4 per cent more holidaymakers in 2007 than it did in 2006. They said that the reasons for the increased numbers are obvious as Cyprus has fabulous beaches, picturesque villages, hospitable people and year round good weather which allow tourists to indulge in a number of different activities.

Sunny Mediterranean climate of Cyprus is perfect for sunbathing, water sports and hiking among the hills and Cyprus also has a range of interesting cultural and historical attractions.
Co-operative Travel has predicted that the number of British holidaymakers set to visit Cyprus this Christmas is 40 per cent higher than 2007. Already till February 2008, the Mediterranean island attracted more than 70,000 visitors, according to the reports from financial mirror. These figures suggest that Cyprus has promising rental market and temporary lodgings are in high demand. Consequently, Cyprus could be a potentially lucrative market for overseas property investors to consider.
Further more, Cyprus was praised by Home Move for offering a vibrant economy, which has led to capital growth in its housing market.
