Why North Cyprus for property investors?
Property investment website Amberlamb.com has said that Demetris Christofias, who has just won the election to become president in the south is exceptionally good news for North Cyprus and it is in the threshold for a property boom.
The election is considered as a crucial step towards reunification with the break-away Turkish-controlled northern Cyprus after decades of division. Overseas property portal Amberlamb.com’s director Rhiannon Williamson said that reunification could bring excellent investment opportunities in North Cyprus Property market. Property investors are getting attracted to North Cyprus because of the potential return on property investment.
The closely fought election in southern Cyrus has ended President Tassos Papadopoulos five years in power. Former President Papadopoulos was seen as the number one obstacle for the restart of talks for reunification of the country. Northern Cyprus really is a stride closer to low cost flights, global golf tourism, thriving holidaymaking industry, foreign direct investment appeal and a flourishing property market.
